Portfolio | Year in Review | sMm Photography

Use what talents you possess, the woods will be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best. -Henry van Dyke

This is my year in review. For many years, I felt as though I were stagnet; I would gain knowledge, or grow in to myself, little-by-little, but I felt life's daily challenges as more of a weight than a gift. There are many people that do not appreciate their personal growth, but it has been my goal to celebrate it each day and my photography business has allowed me this great fortune. As a completely self-taught photographer, my first 'official' year in business has allowed me to grow, learn, or change every day, in one way or another.

There are many people to whom I owe my deepest gratitude, my first clients, my family for allowing me to jump in head first, my photographer-designer extraordinaire (who I count as a friend) Erica Billingsley with Billingsley Design, other photographer-friends, and many others. I would like to thank each one of you for blessing me with the opprotunties with which 2011 has provided me! Thank you for your support; thank you for your loyalty!

2012 is promising to be a wonderful year here at sMm Photography. I have myself scheduled to attend my first workshop.  There are several business who I have forged strong bonds with; I am excited to partner with several of these great business owners this year. Look out for a total of 4 giveaways! Also, I have a series of personal styled shoots planned.  I work early in the morning and late into the evening every day, and it is a wonderful thing for me!

This is not a hobby; this is my job. This is my business, and while it is in a state of constant improvement, I am proud of sMm Photography! If you see a way that I could grow, or a change that you think would be beneficial, please email me at: stefanie@photographybysmm.com. I appreciate your feedback! I promise to do my best, share what I know without reservation, work my hardest, work with integrity, improve my craft and improve my business.
