A few weeks ago, my family & I spent the weekend in Charleston, SC celebrating the graduation of one of my little sisters from the College of Charleston, and I couldn't be more proud of her! Please meet my family, Angela (Mama), Sara, and Allison; they are a huge part of my constant support system! We're a crazy bunch; there's a sign we saw recently that reads: "Insanity doesn't run in the family; it practically gallops." Yup, that about sums it up, haha!! Please note the moments of silly that take over during family photoshoots--totally typical. Being back in Charleston sparked my creativity; my passion found the pilot light I've been anxiously seeking the past several months.
Several years ago when I graduated from CofC, I knew that leaving Charleston to return to Rock Hill would be difficult. Returning home has been a journey; one that has provided me with many opportunities personal growth, and this AMAZING business. Over the past few years, Charleston has remained my second home. Rock Hill is where my family lives, but Charleston, that's where my heart remains! As of today, I am publicly starting a new chapter in my life. I am making plans and securing details to move sMm Photography from solely based in Rock Hill, to splitting time in Charleston. I really haven't been so excited about anything in a very long time! Scared much?! Yea!! This is a huge risk, but at this point, I feel that with all of the love and attention I've given sMm Photography over the past three years, if I don't go for it, I will be letting myself fall short in life. And that's just not my style! God is too faithful to plant seeds of change and not cultivate them; this season in Rock Hill has taught me that.
